Spontex Washups - Desperate Housewives Promotion - Terms & Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions shall apply to the Spontex Desperate Housewives promotion, which will run on www.spontex.co.uk. The promoter does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to the www.spontex.co.uk website. Numerous factors outside of the control of the promoter may interfere with the operation of the website.
  2. This promotion is open to UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man residents only excluding employees and representatives of Mapa Spontex UK Ltd or any affiliates or subsidiary companies, their agents or families, or any other party professionally involved with this promotion.
  3. Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of their participation in the Promotion. Participants can only participate in the country where they live. Providing invalid details will result in disqualification.
  4. The promotion shall commence on 17th September and shall run until midnight on 31st December 2010. The winner will be notified by January 31st 2011.
  5. A Participant is defined as follows: anyone who completes the details in the Registration. Providing invalid details will result in disqualification. It is mandatory for a Participant to submit written material; any material that doesn't belong to the Participant will result in disqualification.
  6. Participants should agree to comply with the Terms & Conditions that apply for this promotion, by checking the Opt-in box in the submission screen.
  7. To enter the Spontex Desperate Housewives Promotion, the Participant must answer one multiple-choice question about the program through our website: www.spontex.co.uk
  8. Material submitted, name of the person and email address, may not be of any explicit sexual, political or racist nature, contain brand names, inappropriate (swear) words, telephone numbers or other website addresses. All such entries will automatically be disqualified and will not appear on the website. Participants submitting information that is disqualified will not be explicitly notified of the disqualification.
  9. Disqualification of any entry is subject to the discretion of Mapa Spontex UK Ltd
  10. At its own discretion Mapa Spontex UK Ltd will have the right to refuse, or remove uploaded content, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such decisions.
  11. Mapa Spontex UK Ltd reserves the right to exclude submissions that it believes to be fraudulent.
  12. Once a participant has submitted material, including valid details, he/she will have a chance to win the promotion. Entrants must not enter or use the website on behalf of another individual without that individual’s express permission. Online only one entry per person will be accepted.
  13. All submitted material may be edited by Mapa Spontex UK Ltd for PR and Marketing purposes.
  14. It is a condition of entry that winners will grant the promoter an exclusive right for Mapa Spontex UK Ltd to use their entries for any or all marketing purposes for a period of three years from the submission of their entries, without reward or recompense other than the award of the prize.
  15. The winner of the Spontex Desperate Housewives Promotion will win:
    • Return train travel to London for two people
    • Return transfers from the station to the hotel
    • Overnight accommodation at the Radisson Mountbatten Hotel
    • Breakfast in the hotel restaurant each morning for two people
    • Makeover at MAC for two people
    • Hair styled at Hersheson Blowdry Bar, Topshop
    • Dinner at Cecconi’s for two people
    • £150 spending money
  16. The winner is liable for their own insurance.
  17. No cash alternative or other alternative prize is available.
  18. All correct entries will be collected into a database, where the winner will be randomly picked.
  19. The winner will be notified in writing within 28 days of the competition closing date. In the unlikely event that any winner is not able to be contacted within a further 28 days, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize entitlement and award that prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original.
  20. Participants warrant that when submitting material no intellectual, property or other right of any third party will be infringed. Participants shall hold Mapa Spontex UK Ltd free and harmless from any claims, costs, actions, suits and/or damages resulting from infringement or alleged infringement of any right of any third party arising out of the submission of material and/or the use thereof.
  21. Mapa Spontex UK Ltd reserves the right to request written proof of residency and confirmation that the winner is at least 18 before the prize is dispatched.
  22. The name and email address details submitted by the winner are deemed to have been submitted by the authorised user of the e-mail address. Mapa Spontex UK Ltd will store the provided information.
  23. Mapa Spontex UK Ltd is not responsible for network, computer hardware or software jamming or outages of any nature which restrict slow down or cause the loss of the participant's form or other data.

  25. The promoter’s decision will be final in all matters relating to this promotion and no correspondence will be entered into.
  26. The promoter retains the right to alter the present terms of entry in the interests of the entrant, with no less than 14 days notice, to be posted on the website.
