Cleaning in the bedroom
Research commissioned by Spontex has shown that a massive 95% of people are distracted during sex by dust, dished and dirt. The research reveals that people who clean the house regularly have a more fulfilling love life than those who leave the dust and dirty dishes festering 'until later'.
- 48% of the population find a dirty toilet such a turn off that it actually distracts them from spending any romantic time with their lover
- 64% even admitted that cleaning causes the biggest rows between them and their partners
- 85% of people in the UK are engaging in 'clean foreplay' as they admit that they feel more in the mood for romance when they have finished their household chores
- A clean kitchen is revealed to be the best way to impress a date, with almost half of all men in the UK admitting to9 being put off by dirty dishes and work surfaces when going back to someone's house for the first time.
Relationship expert, Jenni Trent Hughes, stresses the importance of a clean and tidy house. "A dirty house can massively hinder romantic moments between partners. Sharing domestic chores between you can really benefit your relationship, and will prevent tension emerging in the bedroom."
"The last thing you want invading your head during a romantic moment is the layer of dust on your bedside table", adds Jenni: "so make sure that your intimate time with your partner is seperate to the jobs that you both need to share around the house."
